Retired Assistant Special Agent in Charge - United States Secret Service

Jeffrey James - President - Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. James attended Clarion University where he received his bachelor's degree in secondary education. After teaching high school for six years, Mr. James seized the opportunity to change careers, and in 1996, he was sworn in as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service. 

 

Mr. James went on to have a distinguished 22 year career in the Secret Service, ultimately rising to the rank of Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Mr. James distinguished himself throughout his career with high profile assignments including being selected for the president’s detail, and serving as the Secret Service liaison to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

 

Mr. James received many honors and awards throughout his career, including being selected by the Secret Service in 2016 to attend the National Defense University’s prestigious Eisenhower School, where he earned a master’s degree in National Security Resource Strategy with a concentration in Weapons of Mass Destruction Studies. Mr. James also holds a master’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Fort Hays State University.

 

Mr. James is now the Chief of Police at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
